Got caught up in writing last week and forgot Music Monday! This week I'm embracing my inner teen and spotlighting a couple of catchy pop songs that I always have to sing along to. First, a current hit...
"Give Your Heart a Break" by Demi Lovato
And a blast from the past! I was obsessed with this song when I was in sixth grade.
Deborah Gibson is my idol! I have most of her songs memorized, as I grew up singing them. The woman basically taught me how to sing. Have you heard her later stuff? My favorite is her album titled Deborah. She came out with it in 1997, and that's when she changed her name.
I've also been stuck on the first song you posted, lol.
I don't think I've heard her late 90's stuff. I'll definitely have to check it out! I know, I used to sing her songs over and over, too. "Foolish Beat" was another one of my favorites.
Mine too, and she made history with that song. She was the youngest (at the time) to have written, produced, and performed a #1 hit. And I believe she was 12 years old when she penned "Only In My Dreams." She's always been such an inspiration to me.
